What a fantastic series. Bog Snorkelling on a bike, Playing Russian Roulette with 5 hard boiled and 1 soft boiled egg, worm charming and toe wrestling. Its about time the lottery funding went on making these athletes more financially secure. It can't be easy being the shin kicking world champ (motto "If it ain’t broke, yer not kickin’ hard enough!”)

Enough of trying to compete with the rest of the world at "real" sports and celebrate our home grown talent. If we must get involved and the Americans have got baseball in the Olympics, then how about Morris Dancing in 2012

The lad will be 18, have received a further 4 years of funding and be performing at home.

Should the press build him up for a win and then lambast him if he fails or leave him well alone?

Is the Olympics more watchable than the paralympics?

Why do we have the able-bodied and paralympic games at different times?

Surely we should be celebrating the achievements of all athletes at the same games without the need to differentiate between able-bodied and those with a disability however slight or serious.
